Bead Colors

How do you get the beads to be different colors?

The colors come from two sources:  A) the colors of the flowers you send, and B) the color of polyresin we use to shape the beads.

You can tell us which flowers you would like to go with which color of polyresin.  The list of colors:  white, yellow, red, orange, light pink, dark pink, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue, light purple, dark purple, and black.

Please note when the petals and polyresin are combined, the resulting combination may not be exactly what you had expected. So while we can generally get close to a certain color, we likely won’t be able to exactly match it.

How do I tell you which colors I want to choose?

You can include a note in the checkout when you make your payment.

Inscriptions

Can I have an inscription put on my memorial keepsake?

Yes, for certain items.  The items you can have inscriptions on are:

  • Pendants
  • key chains (will be flat on one side to allow for inscription)
  • candle holders
  • Barrel beads

The character limit for these different items varies, so please read the item descriptions in each listing.

The inscription fee is $5.00 per inscription and is an item in our shop that you purchase in addition to the item you want inscribed.

Process

How long does it take to process the order?

Processing an order takes 8-10 weeks.  Orders are filled in a first come, first served basis.  However, we do have the ability to hire temporary staff to fill expedited orders.  A fee applies for expediting the order, to pay for the staff person’s labor.  If you want to have an expedited order, please contact us to discuss details.

Shipping Flowers To Us

Can you use my flowers? They’re dried.

Absolutely yes.  Even if they are decades old, or your flowers have crumbled into pieces, and the color has faded or turned brown, we’d be able to use them. Please read the page here on our site, “How to send your flowers”, for complete details on shipping your petals.

Can you use my flowers? They’re fresh.

Absolutely. We would like to prevent mildew on your fresh petals, so take care not to package them with any plastic.  We want to have some air flow during shipping.  Please read the page here on our site, “How to send your flowers”, for complete details on shipping your petals.

How do I send my flowers?

If I send extra petals, how long will you keep them?

We store your extra flowers here at our shop, making it easy for you to reorder keepsakes from those flowers. Birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day or Father’s day, Christmas… there are many occasions that can be marked by ordering a new keepsake from your flowers. Keeping your flowers here also helps family members to place orders from those same flowers. Oftentimes when someone receives our memorial keepsakes, they show their friends, coworkers, and relatives how lovely the items are. This in turn creates a desire inside others to purchase a keepsake for themselves. If your flowers are already here, it makes purchasing easier. All they would have to do is say, “Please use the (family name) flowers for my order”.

Of course, if you would just like any unused flowers returned to you when we ship your order, we’d be glad to do that. Keeping your extra flowers is our standard practice, but if you leave a note when you checkout that you’d like your petals back, we would be happy to do so.

If other family members would like to use my petals, how can we do that?

Just tell them to make a note in their order when they checkout. They can tell us to use your flowers by saying something like this: ”Please use the Carol Jones flowers”. Then we will know to pull your flowers out of the Flower Vault to use them for your family’s order.

What if I don’t have any flowers?

That’s okay. We can purchase some for you.
For example, your husband bought you purple irises on your first date, but you didn’t keep them. We would be glad to purchase purple irises for you and use them to create your keepsakes. You would need to call or email to discuss this service, as it is a special order. The charge for this service would be the actual cost of the flowers plus a $5.00 handling fee, not including the price of the keepsakes you order. Then a custom listing will be placed in our shop and we will send you the link to it in an email. You would just add that custom listing to your shopping cart with your keepsake items that you want made from those flowers, and pay for the whole order at once.

Sizes

Can I have my bracelet or necklace a different length?

Yes you can. Just send us an email or call us to discuss the length you want your necklace or bracelet to be. If we add length to a necklace or bracelet, there will be an extra charge of $5.00 to $10.00 per inch, depending on whether we are adding a sterling silver extender or adding another flower bead.

Reducing the length of a bracelet or necklace will not incur any additional charges. You can simply leave a note in the checkout with the desired shortened length.

Can I have my ring a different size?

Our rings are cast in sterling silver, and in some cases re-sizing is possible, if the band of the ring is wide enough. A jeweler will need to resize your ring, as we do not have a silversmith on staff.

If your ring can be resized, this must be done before we place the Memorial stone into the ring. This may a few extra steps. We would ship the ring to you, then you would have it re-sized by a jeweler. Afterward, ship it back to us. Alternately, we can have the resizing done for you in our locale, if you wish. The charge for having us resize your ring would added to your order as a custom listing in our shop.

Work Satisfaction

What if I get my order and I don’t like my item?

Quality products are a big deal with us, so if you receive your order and you aren’t completely happy with one or more items, please get ahold of us as quickly as possible. We will do our best to fix the issue if we have made a mistake. If you have to ship an item back to us to be fixed, we will share the shipping charges. You will pay for shipping the item to us, and we will pay to ship the item back to you.

Our items are one-of-a-kind artistic treasures. We cannot resell your keepsakes, so we are unable to give a money-back satisfaction guarantee. Please keep an open mind on what to expect your keepsakes to look like. Since we do not have a picture to show you of the exact item you will be receiving, your imagination may give you a different expectation than what the actual item will become, particularly when it comes to the final color combination.
